RULES
1. Fees and payments
1.1 For PUA Members - P500
1.2 For renewing-members - P600 (includes membership renewal fee)
1.3 For non-members - P650 (includes membership fee)
1.4 Team captains are required to submit their team's full roster and 1/2 payment by Wednesday January 12, 2005 to Triccia David.
1.4.1 Team captains are required to submit the remaining team balance to Triccia David by Wednesday January 19, 2005.
1.5 Late fee penalty: P500/day per team.
1.6 Unpaid teams will be subject to a forfeit of all its games until compliance is met. This is known as the "no pay, no play" policy.
2. Format
2.1 The format shall be a single round robin, with teams playing each other once.
2.2 Ties shall be resolved using the 10th Edition of the UPA Official Rules of Ultimate.
3. Draft Pool
3.1 The draft pool is designed to find homes for team-less players, new players, and out-of-town players before and during the league.
3.2 All draft players will be asked to rank themselves using a ranking system (to be provided by the Director of Technicals).
3.3 The teams will choose from among the draft players with the lowest ranking team having first choice.
3.4 In line with the inclusive spirit of Ultimate, all draft players must be adopted.
3.5 If, after conducting the draft, there are remaining team-less players, the following rules will apply:
3.5.1 Teams which have not yet adopted a player must adopt remaining players in order of team-rank from highest to lowest.
3.5.2 If all teams have adopted players, then the teams must adopt players in order of team-rank from highest to lowest.
3.6 All draft players must pay the full league fee.
3.7 No new players may be drafted after the 2nd week. Just join the next league!
4. Game Specifics
4.1 Unless otherwise provided in these rules, the 10th Edition of the UPA Official Rules of Ultimate will be followed.
4.1.1 Games are from 10am-5pm.
4.2 Forfeit Rule
4.2.1 Games must start and end on time.
4.2.1.1 The game clock will be started at the designated time whether or not the teams are ready.
4.2.2 If, after the first 15 minutes, neither team is present on the line, a forfeit will be declared and both teams will be awarded a loss.
4.2.3 If, after the first 15 minutes, only one team is present on the line, a forfeit will be declared with the absent team awarded a loss (score: 1-0)
4.2.4 If both teams are ready to play within the first 15 minutes, then play can begin with whatever time remains on the game clock.
4.3 Gender Ratio
4.3.1 This is a 4men/3women league.
4.3.2 If both teams lack players to fulfill the proper ratio, then captains can agree to play with a different ratio; however, if both teams have at least 3 women present, and one of these teams chooses to play the 4:3 ratio, then the 4:3 takes precedent over any other ratio. If captains agree to play a different ratio (other than the 4:3) due to the lack of players present, any captain may call a 4:3 ratio "at any time before a pull" provided both teams have at least 3 women present.
4.3.3 Teams may field more women than the minimum of 3 required, but the opposing team is under no obligation to match.
4.4 Spirit Policy
4.4.1 PUA's Spirit Policy will be followed.

4.5 Game Time and Point Cap
4.5.1 Regular League Games
4.5.1.1 Game time will be 60 minutes with a point cap of 11.
4.5.2 Quarter-finals/Semi-finals/Finals
4.5.2.1 Game time will be 75 minutes with a point cap of 13.
4.5.3 When time is called, the current point will be played out. If the game is tied, a final universal point will be played to determine the winner.
4.6 Halftime
4.6.1 Regular league games
4.6.1.1 Half time will start at 30 minutes, or when a team reaches 6 points. The clock will run.
4.6.2 Quarter-finals/Semi-finals/Finals
4.6.2.1 Half time will start at 35 minutes, or when a team reaches 7 points. The clock will run.
4.6.3 All games will mirror at half time.
4.6.4 Half-time lasts 5 minutes.
4.7 Timeouts
4.7.1 Each team will be permitted one 2-minute time-out per half.
4.7.2 Timeouts may not be called during the last 5 minutes of each half.
4.8 Injuries
4.8.1 Play must stop when an injury occurs.
4.8.2 If the injury was not caused by a player on the opposing team, the injured player must be removed from the field as quickly as possible without compromising their safety.
4.8.3 If the injury was caused by a player on the opposing team, the injured player has one minute to decide whether to continue playing or not. Otherwise, the injured player must be removed from the field as quickly as possible without compromising his or her safety.
4.8.4 The clock will be stopped for any and all injuries occurring in the last five minutes of the game.
4.9 Scores
4.9.1 The captains of both teams shall be responsible for signing and submitting a single scoresheet for the game.
4.9.2 Each captain should also submit a separate form containing the Spirit rating given to the opposing team and the nomination for male/female Ambassadors of Spirit.
4.9.3 At the end of the game, the completed scoresheet and spirit forms should be submitted to a designated board member.
4.9.4 If either or both captains refuse to sign a scoresheet, a protest must be lodged in accordance with Rule 3.10.
4.10 Complaints/Protests
4.10.1 Complaints/protests must be lodged in writing or emailed to info@philippineultimate.org within 24 hours of the incident.
4.10.2 Complaints will be resolved by the PUA board within 1 week of receiving the complaint.
4.10.3 All decisions will be final.
5. Miscellaneous
5.1 Please keep the field clean - NO LITTERING! Each team should bring its own garbage bag.
