Boracay Team Wins Cebu Tourney

RunTana of Boracay topped the recent Ultimo Abril Dos Ultimate Tournament held in Cebu City on April 18 and 19, 2009.

The event drew 13 teams from Metro Manila, Dipolog, Dumaguete, Iligan, Cebu and Boracay.

Preliminary rounds were held at the Cebu City Sports Complex during the first day and later on transferred to the Aboitiz Land football field for semi final and final games.

RunTana defeated Cuernos of Dumaguete in the race to 15 final game.

RunTana blazed to a huge lead of 8-3 in the first half, but Cuernos stepped up tying it at 12-12, with Cuernos then gaining a 13-12 lead.

Play was stopped as darkness settled and resumed when the field lights were turned on. RunTana scored immediately to tie the game and never looked back, winning the game 15-13.
