1ST ANNUAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

WHAT: 1st Annual National Championships
(This will be the best local tournament in the country, with the top 16 teams competing for the chance to be the National Champ!)
DATE: MAY 26-27,2012 
VENUE: Alabang Country Club
TEAMS: Top 16 Teams from around the country (8 from Luzon, 4 from Visayas, 4 from Mindanao)
 

About the National Championship tournament:

-It will be an annual event
-It will be the top 16 club teams from around the country:
-8 from Luzon
-4 from Visayas
-4 from Mindanao
-It is NOT for ringer teams (ex. Roaches, KKK), but for club teams from various leagues/regions
-For this year it will be by invitation, but for 2013 NATIONALS there will be regional qualifying tournaments.
-For the first year, it will be in Manila. For the future years we will take bids to host it from clubs/associations in other regions
-Mixed format: 4/3 ratio
-Price of tournament will be kept to a minimum to make affordable to all teams and players

As we want the provincial teams to start to plan their trip and buy tickets, the following teams are invited to join the tournament:

Visayas:
Boracay Dragons (Malay, Aklan) – CONFIRMED
Boracay Ultimate (Malay, Aklan)- CONFIRMED
Extreme (Dumaguete City) – CONFIRMED

Mindanao:
Davao Mulatto (Davao City) – CONFIRMED
Acidus (Jasaan, Misamis Oriental)- CONFIRMED
UGA (Iligan City)- CONFIRMED

There will also be two play-in games to decide the final spot from each region. This will be a one game playoff (race to 15) organized by the teams themselves. Winner of each play-in game gets the 4th spot from that region:

Visayas: Impulse vs Fasa (MARCH 4, 3PM at East Visayan Academy)

Mindanao: Davao Disc Squad vs South Side Guerillas
