Manila Spirits 2009 is gonna be HUGE!

Not only are we preparing for a crazier Spirits than ever, but we’ve also been awarded by the WFDF the privilege to host the 2009 Asia Oceanic Ultimate Club Championships. So we’ll be running these two massive tournaments together. That’s why we’re calling it the Thrillah in Manila!

These are the confirmed details for now:

If you’re thinking about putting an AOUCC Open, Womens, or Mixed team together (as opposed to a Manila Spirits team), please read our AOUCC FAQs.

Dates? AOUCC Open and Womens divisions will be completed on the one day, Friday November 6.  AOUCC Mixed and Manila Spirits (Mixed) will take place on November 7 and 8.  AOUCC Mixed and Manila Spirits teams will be playing against each other.

Can one play in both AOUCC Open/Womens and AOUCC Mixed/Spirits? For sure!

Venue? Alabang Country Club.

Team registration fee? None!

If you’re looking to play in Spirits (Mixed), then please fill out this form – Manila Spirits 2009 registration form

If it’s AOUCC Mixed – AOUCC 2009 Mixed registration form

If it’s AOUCC Open or Womens – AOUCC 2009 Open & Womens registration form

As you can see in each registration form, you can indicate whether you are joining an additional division (ie Open/Womens and Mixed). If you are playing two divisions, you get one kit total.  Please feel free to email us at puaboard@gmail.com if you have any questions.

By when? For foreign teams, deadline for submissions is September 30, 2009. For local teams, the date is October 11, 2009.

Where do we stay? The tournament hotel info is available here. You are of course free to make your own plans.

Do I hear “party”? There will be a quaint little registration get-together for AOUCC Open and Womens participants on Thursday night (November 5) by the poolside of Somerset Millennium. The brain cell genocide really gets going with the inclusion of the AOUCC Mixed and Spirits party animals on Friday night.  Then we lay on further big ass parties for you on Saturday and Sunday night, with the Saturday party of course having the biggest ass of them all.
