Tournament Fee

The Manila Spirits Tournament fee per player is US$55.

Format and Rules

1. Unless otherwise stipulated in these rules or at the captains' meeting, the 10th Edition of the UPA Official Rules of Ultimate will be obeyed.

2. Regular and Quarterfinal games will be 60 minutes long with a 11-point cap. Halftime will start at 30 minutes or when a team reaches 6 points, Inclusive of halftime break and timeouts.

3. Semifinal games will be 75 minutes long with a 13-point cap. Halftime will be at 40 minutes or when a team reaches 7 points. Inclusive of halftime break and timeouts.

4. Finals will be played with a 15-point cap. Halftime will start when a team reaches 8 points.

5. Each team will be permitted one 120-second time-out per half. Inclusive of halftime break and timeouts. No timeouts can be called during the last 5 minutes of each half.

6. When time is called, the current point will be played out. If the game is tied, a final universal point will be played to determine the winner.

7. The gender ratio of Manila Spirits 2006 is 4 men:3 women, with a maximum of 4 men on the field.

General Reminders

1. Scoresheets/Statsheet should be submitted to the Tourney Secretariat after each game.

2. Games will start on time. You may start late, but it will end on time. There will be a Universal Tourney Gameclock.

3. Uphold Spirit of the Game on and off the field.

4. Cheering for the opposing team before, during and after the game is highly encouraged.

5. Nudity is not allowed.

RESERVATION PROCEDURE:
Mention that you are reserving under the Philippine Ultimate Association Group for November and are calling on behalf of Kat Velayo to avail the special rate. They should provide the following:

  1. dates of stay
  2. single/double/triple occupancy (request for bed type/smoking/non-smoking rooms will be subject to availability upon check-in)
  3. all names of the guests that will be occupying the room
  4. mode of payment (we will be requesting for a credit card guarantee for the rooms)
  5. will they need airport transfers?

*check-in time is at 12:00nn and check-out time is at 2:00pm

The cut-off date for the 75 rooms reserved is November 6, 2006. All rooms allotted for the group that have not been taken will be released after the said date. Should anybody make reservations after the cut-off, you can avail of the walk-in rate which is $95++ for single occupancy for foreign guests, and P4,000++ for local guests single/ double occupancy.
